The house, situated on the outskirts of the town, is a classical 'barn house'. It is a three-sided enclosed shell clad with sheet metal in which the necessary holes are 'cut out'. The compact volume combines all the features for a single family house whilst giving the priority to the communal areas leaving double height in them. The large south-facing window provides optimal sunlight by compensating for the closure to the other three less favourable directions.
